ABOUT RUNEITEM

A useful item database.
Clear about its sources.

RuneItem brings quick item-ID lookup and detailed revision-aware item pages together for RuneScape players and private-server developers.

OSRS item definitions and images

This edition includes 19,923 non-placeholder OSRS records from OSRSReboxed, a continuation of OSRSBox. The newest record in this bundled snapshot is dated January 7, 2025. It is a historical snapshot, not a complete database of the latest OSRS release.

Every OSRS item page shows the individual record date and a Wiki link where available. Item names, artwork, and RuneScape are the property of Jagex Ltd. Wiki-derived material is subject to the OSRS Wiki licensing terms. The bundled dataset is provided under GNU GPL v3, without warranty. Read the attribution and changes.

Historical RuneScape revisions

RuneItem can import decoded item definitions for revisions 317, 377, 474, 508, 525, 530 and 562. Historical definitions can be imported from decoded JSON snapshots. RuneWiki RS-DataAPI is a compatible decoder for preserved cache data from the OpenRS2 Archive. RuneItem stores imported snapshots locally and does not require the RuneWiki public API hostname at runtime.

We do not infer revision support from an item ID or release date. “Earliest imported revision” means the earliest snapshot currently stored in RuneItem, not proof that every intervening game build contains the same definition.

What historical snapshots preserve

The importer stores normalized fields such as name, examine text, cost, weight, stackability, members flag, stock-market flag, model ID, category, wear positions, ground and inventory actions, noted/lent/bought/placeholder links, plus the full decoded raw JSON definition for future use.

Live prices

Prices come from the OSRS Wiki price API, powered by RuneLite trade data. Each result shows its trade timestamp. Prices do not represent private-server economies.
